
Dave Rees: Profile and CV
In a nutshell I am an IAF (www.iaf-world.org) accredited facilitator and assessor with 19 years experience of facilitating a variety of workshops. During that time I was employed by Rolls-Royce Aerospace and EDS before forming 3rd Eye Facilitation.
What follows below is a profile of me in a bit more detail.
Prior to forming 3rd Eye Facilitation I :
- Worked for Rolls-Royce Aerospace from 1983 to 1990 in IT as a programmer, systems analyst and project leader
- Trained as a JAD (Joint Application Development) facilitator with Gary Rush in Chicago in 1990
- Worked as a full-time facilitator for Rolls-Royce Aerospace from 1990 to 1995.
- During this time I broadened my skills and took facilitation into other areas,
eg. Strategy, planning, problem resolution and risk assessment - Worked as a full-time facilitator for EDS (Electronic Data Systems) from 1995 to 1998
and also delivered the EDS Facilitation Skills training course in Europe from 1997 to 1998
Over the last 19 years I :
- Have facilitated over 500 workshops on a variety of topics (See Applications)
- Have worked as a facilitator in the UK, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Slovenia, Canada and the USA
- Became a member of the International Association of Facilitators (IAF) and regularly attend IAF conferences in Europe and N. America
- Was a founder member of the Certified Professional Facilitator (CPF) scheme under the auspices of the IAF (1998)
- Became a CPF and an Assessor of Facilitators and process manager
- I have assessed facilitators and assessors in Minneapolis, Toronto, Atlanta, Ottawa, Brussels, Utrecht and various other European and UK locations
- Was a founder member (1991) and I am still an active participant in the European Facilitation User Group (EFUG), now known as UK Facilitators
- Became an Accredited DSDM Practitioner
